On a gloriously sunny day we held the first art exhibition at Old Keepers Cottage in Wiltshire. I think it was a great success. We had a lot of people coming through the door and being very complementary about the exhibits on show. We raised money in the region of £1000 for the charity and all thanks to Lisa Hogan, who organised it all and held it at her beautiful country house and guest cottage.
My friend Imogen Barlow, did particularly well that day having sold all her limited edition hand-printed linocuts (on display).
I particularly liked this by Karen Webber, fortunately a neighbour purchased so we’ll get to see again.
Christine Dunn’s Seedhead acrylic is stunning…
Spreading the work on Raw Dice – David talks to one of the guests about Justin Oh’s work
It was a delight to meet up with Lisa’s sister Tara Nash-King of Chic and Seek which I’m hoping to visit shortly…. update to follow on my vintage purchases.

This week I will be attending an art exhibition being held at my friend’s house on Friday 20th May 2011. Although Lisa does all the hard work, myself and others get roped in to help with the food and other preparations. The exhibition is in aid of raising money for Arthritis Campaign Research and is sponsored by the Penny West Trust .
I am really looking forward to this event, especially since I know so many of the exhibitors. Christine Dunn, a well established artist (part of the East Sussex Art 22 group), will be there, having just shown at the Eastbourne Open Houses. My good friend Imogen (Barlow) will also be exhibiting some linocut prints and some of her bronze sculptures (I’ve got my eye on these).
Fingers crossed for the weather to hold up on Friday, as we will be eating outside.
